The architecture is highly modular and allows for the progressive refinement of the experiments by both designing increasingly sophisticated dialogues and successively replacing simulated components of the tutoring system by actual implementations. The dialogues to be examined are specified in a language that combines finite-state approaches with information states, thereby allowing for great flexibility. Therefore, the architecture should also be appropriate for examining dialogues in general.}, ANNOTE = {COLIURL : Fiedler:2002:SPR.pdf Fiedler:2002:SPR.ps} }
